"Food Inc."

David Jackson

Today in family literacy we watched this movie “Food Inc.”. This movie was telling us about how our food such as beef, chicken and pork is being harvested or reproduced. Watching how the chickens are raised was kind of gross. How they mass produce them in big buildings all together and some die due to how fast the farmers make them grow. Other then how they mass produce our meat will want to make you think twice or three times on where or how you get your meat.

AIDS memorial quilt

Last Thursday I went on a field trip to the AIDS quilt show. There were so eight different designs on just one quilt. It made me wonder about friends and family that may have AIDS. I saw this picture of the all the quilts that people that had died from AIDS that were placed at the mall in Washington DC. It was pretty amazing to see that. http://www.aidsquilt.org/
